OH MY ASURA! (AFTER MUNCH) (Greeting Card)

$2.50

Greeting Card with quirky illustration influenced by Edvard Munch’s The Scream, depicting an Asura statue horrified by what it sees in front of it, illustrated by artist Joshua Chiang.

Description

Referencing the famous ‘The Scream’ by Edvard Munch, this artwork depicts a statue along a naga bridge outside one of the five gates to the ancient ruins of Angkor Thom discovering to its horror that the statue in front of him no longer has a head. The tongue-in-cheek tone of the artwork expresses a serious concern – the constant threat of vandalism and looting of the world heritage site of Angkor.
