ABOUT THE ARTIST
Joshua Chiang is best known in Cambodia for the Candid Cambodia art series, which has also been described as “Pile Up” art.
He imagines Cambodia as a surreal and whimsical place, where vehicles and passengers comically stack onto one another, defying the laws of physics; mythical beings and ordinary people co-exist in the same space; and children ride on a sun bear along with other endangered wildlife, on a bicycle.
Joshua’s sense of humor, keen eye for detail, and love of storytelling are what make his artwork so appealing. Read more about Josh.
